Il Baretto has been running for over fifty years, delighting the great and the good of the city for half a century. The sophisticated, old English club house decor is host to a refined menu taking cues from Milanese and international cuisine.

Opened in 1962 and originally located on Via Sant’Andrea, Il Baretto has since taken residence in the Baglioni Carlton hotel. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner seven days a week, and matches it's sophisticated style and menu with impeccable service and privacy for diners.

The menu is changed daily as determined by the owners and the head chef to offer the best for those looking for either traditional or modern dishes.

Open from 12:30-15:00 and 19:30-23:00 daily.

2. Dolce & Gabbana Martini Bar & Restaurant, Milan - Centre

This trendy bar and restaurant combines two of the most traditional yet innovative Italian brands: Dolce & Gabbana and Martini. This is a unique place where you can have lunch, aperitivo or dinner inspired by Sicilian cuisine.

Located at the Dolce & Gabbana boutique in Corso Venezia, this intimate space is dominated by its refined design based on a "total black look": light and glossy black surfaces are only broken by a red dragon rising from the floor. There is also a patio and indoor garden dining room where you can enjoy food and drink.

Their signature cocktails include imaginative creations like their Dolce & Gabbana Martini, a combination of vodka, orange, strawberries and Martini dry. Enjoy it with their delicious aperitivo.

The bar is open Monday to Saturday from 09:30 to 01:00 (kitchen open until midnight), and Sundays from 09:00 to midnight (kitchen open until 23:00).

3. Wicky's Wicuisine Seafood Restaurant, Milan - Centre

Chef Wicky Priyan has travelled around the world, especially in Asia, and offers at his restaurant in Milan authentic Japanese cuisine "contaminated" with Mediterranean ingredients and regional Milanese touches.

Recognised as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Milan, here you can order one of their good value sushi specialities, noodles or bento boxes for lunch. For dinner, they offer a chef's tasting menu, as well as carpaccios, sushi, and other signature dishes.

Open Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 to 14:30 and Monday to Saturday from 19:30 to 23:00.

4. Alice Restaurant, Milan - Centre

Created in 2007 by chef Viviana Varese and sommelier Sandra Ciciriello, this restaurant serves fish and meat prepared with spades of creativity but starting from Mediterranean tradition.

There are two tasting menus, Sandrina and Viviana, as well as à la carte. At lunch, they offer a good quality menu at a lower cost.

Specialities include 'Stracciellami' (Santa Margherita red prawns marinated in lime with tomato water, stracciatella and toasted garlic bread), ' Non togliere l'osso a Mario' (barbecued ossobuco with Piedmont tartare, spring onion, mustard mayonnaise and vinegar glaze), 'Gia' Rotta' (meringue with zabaglione foam, velvety almond soup, crunchy almonds, coffee and strong chocolate sorbet and Timut pepper), 'Bella con l'anima' (crispy calf fries with beetroot ice cream, yoghurt and beetroot earth) and 'Lo spago e la carbonara' (carbonara spaghetti with crispy bacon).

Open from 12:30 to 14:00 and from 19:30 to 22:00. Closed on Sundays.
