Il Baretto Restaurant, Milan - Centre

A part of Milanese gastronomic culture

featured in Restaurants Updated

Il Baretto has been running for over fifty years, delighting the great and the good of the city for half a century. The sophisticated, old English club house decor is host to a refined menu taking cues from Milanese and international cuisine.

Opened in 1962 and originally located on Via Sant’Andrea, Il Baretto has since taken residence in the Baglioni Carlton hotel. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner seven days a week, and matches it's sophisticated style and menu with impeccable service and privacy for diners.

The menu is changed daily as determined by the owners and the head chef to offer the best for those looking for either traditional or modern dishes.

Open from 12:30-15:00 and 19:30-23:00 daily.

Worth knowing

Il Baglioni is a favourite destination for Milanese heavyweights in fashion, design, finance and more. As such, it is one of the top spots in Milan to see and be seen.

The Bar

The American Bar allows visitors to enjoy a pre-dinner drink before making their way into the restaurant or simply a drink or two any time of day to experience the surroundings before heading elsewhere.

Visitor comments

  • "Wonderful restaurant in the hotel with separate entrance. Wonderful sole, perfect veal with pasta. Chicken and curry was a special treat. Coat and tie required but it sets a great atmosphere. Has a top rating among Milan restaurants and seems well deserved." - Trip Advisor
  • "Il Baretto is an extremely fancy and bourgeois place to dine... and yet it's comfortable and the experienced staff makes you feel right at home. I have been to Il Baretto dozens of times and it never disappoints, the wine lists are excellent and the ingredients are of the highest quality." - Trip Advisor
