This round trip by boat and train, taking in the main sights and towns is a fantastic way of seeing the area around Lake Maggiore.
There are a number of starting places for the trip and tickets are valid for either one or two days, allowing you to stop over if you wish. The journey takes you through Ticino in southern Switzerland, across the meadows and bridges of the Centrovalli region, across the beautiful Lake Maggiore, taking in its islands, and through the towns of Stresa, Ascona and Locarno. You can even have lunch onboard the boat.
