Milan Fashion Week kicks off

The best designers showcase their Spring/Summer 2017 collection

Today is the first day of Milan Fashion Week, one of the main events in the international fashion world. For almost a week, fashion will overtake Milan's centre and some of the most prestigious designers and brands on Earth will unveil what trends we will wear next summer.

This season will see over 70 runway shows, 30 events and more than 90 presentations for 170 brands. The week kicks off with Vogue's Fashion Night Out, an evening dedicated to designers.

Grinko will inaugurate the runway today at 09:30. Other big names will also take to the catwalk on Wednesday 21st, including Gucci at 14:30, Alberta Ferretti at 16:30 or Roberto Cavalli at 20:30. Tomorrow will be time for Max Mara at 09:30, Fendi at 12:30, Emilio Pucci at 15:00, Prada at 18:00 and Moschino at 20:00 among others. Giorgio Armani will showcase his 2017 spring/summer collection on Friday at 10:30 and, also on the 23rd, Milan will see the designs of Etro at 14:00 and Versace at 18:00.

The weekend is also packed with prestigious runway shows, such as Bottega Veneta (09:30), Blumarine (12:30) or Jill Sander (15:00) on Saturday, and Marni (10:30), Salvatore Ferragamo (16:00), Trussardi (17:00), Missoni (19:00) and DSquared2 (20:00) on Sunday. Monday 26th will be the last day, featuring the closing event by In Assegnazione at 14:30.
