Prada, the huge Italian fashion house, has opened this foundation to showcase contemporary art together with contemporary philosophy conferences, research exhibitions and initiatives related to cinema.

The 1910's distillery has been transformed by architecture firm OMA, led by Rem Koolhaas and turned into a beautiful contemporary building. Apart from regular temporary exhibitions, the Prada collection is also showcased in this space, featuring works from the 20th and 21st centuries.

The foundation also boasts a space especially conceived for children, the 'Accademia dei Bambini' with workshops and multidisciplinary activities.

There is a chic cafe and bar onsite.

Worth knowing

There are guided tours on offer in Italian and English which have to be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Tours in French, German and Spanish can be arranged if booked at least 7 days in advance. A group can consist of 25 people maximum. The cost of the guided tour is 80 euros in addition to admission fee.

When to come

Open from 09:00 to 20:00. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, they close at 21:00. Closed on Tuesdays.

How to get passes

Admission costs 10€. Reduced to 8€ for students under 26, FAI card holders, carers/companions to visitors with disabilities, and groups of 15-25 people. Free for visitors under the age of 18 or over the age of 65, visitors with disabilities, accredited journalists or holders of a valid press card.
