Exhibition on Rubens and the Birth of Baroque

The exhibition emphasizes Rubens’ influence on younger Italian artists, such as Pietro da Cortona, Bernini, Lanfranco and Luca Giordano, leading artists of the Baroque style.

The exhibition focuses also on the influence exercised on Rubens by ancient art and the 16th-century paintings. Furthermore, some of Rubens’ paintings are compared with ancient sculptures, works by great Renaissance painters and other Baroque artists.

Open on Monday from 14:30 to 19:30; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday from 09:30 to 19:30; Thursday & Saturday from 09:30 to 22:30.
