The Music Festival Umberto Giordano was born on the centenary of the first performance of Fedora (1898) and the fiftieth anniversary of the composer's death (1948). Giordano had spent long periods of work and holiday in Baveno in his splendid Villa Fedora. Originally a festival dedicated to musicians of the turn of the century, post-Verdian authors and contemporary European and American artists, the Festival has expanded its interest to inlcude all musical genres of the past century, poetry and other forms of art and entertainment.Find loads of top tips and local insights in our Milan Main Events.
