Stunning design interior from Michele de Lucchi

featured in Cafes & delis Updated

Part of the Triennale Design Museum, it's worth a refreshment stop both to enjoy a sandwich, salad cocktail or coffee and to appreciate the cafe's interior layout.

Architect Michele de Lucchi is responsible for the cafe's design as well as the Triennale's ground floor refurbishment. Features of the new design include an exposed kitchen where dishes are made to order and patrons can view the chefs at work. The cafe has an American-style island bar surrounded by stools where chefs prepare cold dishes.

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 to 20:30. Closed on Mondays and in August.

Visitor comments

  • "Great cafe with fantastic views of the garden (so gorgeous on a sunny day). Light meals are the main fare here, with a pretty big choice. My entire party loved what they ordered, which was all served with style." - Trip Advisor
  • "Excellent coffee and exceptional setting, open, light and airy space overlooking lovely, misty greens of the Parco di Sempione." - Trip Advisor
  • "After working up an appetite walking round the galleries, we were attracted by the sound of a busy kitchen and chattering of fashionistas. We found the open plan restaurant welcoming to all- trendy mothers with children, and your sharp-rimmed architect types... We were sat down swiftly and offered excellent house wine, and recommended the saffron risotto and pork cutlet in red wine sauce- both prepared impeccably and tasted fantastic." - Trip Advisor
