La Chiesetta Bar, Northwest Milan
Old church turned atmospheric bar
This unconsecrated small church was built at the end of the 18th century and, in 2006, it was converted into a bar. With a unique atmosphere, this bar is specialised in beers, cocktails and shots.
Its unique interior gives a Gothic feel, illuminated with votive candles and decorated with frescoes and sculpted capitals.
They have a long list of shots ('chupitos'), most of them named according to the religious theme. So you can try their famous 'PapaNero' (Black Pope) - made with 'liquore alla liquirizia (a black liquor from Calabria) with vodka & sambuca -, 'Sangue di Giuda' (Judas Blood) - fragola, white rum & lemon -, or the 'FratEllo' (Friar) - mint vodka & lemon. They also serve their miraculous 'Sangría del Priore'
Open Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 02:00 and Saturday from 21:00 to 02:00.

- "When I was heading to this place, a friend of mine told me that we'd going to a bar that was used to be a church few years ago. I become surprised because the place is totally amazing! The staffs, barmen and the owner are very outgoing and the beer was extremely chilled. I definitely would back if I go to Milan again." - Trip Advisor
- "This is one of those places out of the touristic area, being located at the edge of China Town. It consists of a unconsecrated tiny church that gives you fancy shots and drinks with names inspired by the Bible itself! There a few places to sit inside and few outside, I would recommend to small groups or couples." - Trip Advisor
- "Perfect place for drinks and music.... Warm and cosy ambience with warm people... Visit to Milan is incomplete without paying a visit to this place!!!" - Trip Advisor
