Modern osteria by the Naviglio Grande

featured in Restaurants Updated

This rustic and old-fashioned restaurant where new executive chef Ivan Milani interprets the offer of seasonal and sustainable ingredients with a contemporary technique and a touch of gastrofollia.

The atmosphere is that of an old tavern, with rough brick walls, a long bar with rows of wine bottles, a cheese cart and a few small crooked tables covered with paper table mat. They offer à la carte dining as well as a selection of tasting menus. Specialities include Beef tartare, Pasta, Snail risotto, Tiramisu and much more.

The restaurant also offers more than 500 wines curated by owner and sommelier Maida Mercuri.

Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Visitor comments

  • "This was our favourite ever dining experience. All courses were out of this world and the staff were terrific. Don't visit Navigli without coming here!" - Trip Advisor
  • "Centrally located on the Naviglio Grande, this restaurant, in the style of old Milan, offers a variety of very creative dishes accompanied by a palette of refined wines. We have tried ravioli al pesto and veal steak with fresh vegetables, both of excellent quality. Not to forget home-baked savoury muffins, incredibly tasty. For dessert, we chose tarte tatin, and to our surprise, a bright red apple made, I think of caramelised, sugar appeared on the table. The “apple” was filled with apple mousse and accompanied by a ball of ice cream made from pastry. Delicious! Good service and price that reflects quality of the dishes." - Trip Advisor
  • "We make this a "must-do" every time we are in Milan and today's meal was just as good as always. Situated in the Naviglio district on Ripa Di Porta Ticinese canal the restaurant delivers an eccentric mix of food and mood with great service and a wonderful wine list. " - Trip Advisor
